The original founder of PR's Autohaus of Lodi was a Stockton native, Paul Davey, who turned his passion for rebuilding Porsche motors into an automotive career soon after graduating from Lincoln High School.
In 1981 Paul opened PR's Autohaus of Lodi on North Main Street. Paul's commitment to excellence and personalized service earned him a loyal customer base that grew steadily and led to the expansion of the business in 1992.

The first Bosch authorized service center in the San Joaquin Valley
Robert Bosch — the German manufacturer behind much of the fuel injection, ignition and engine management hardware in European cars — recognized Paul Davey's work and designated PR's Autohaus as its first authorized service center in the valley. We are a Bosch service facility to this day.
A building put up for this work, not adapted to it
Paul purchased the property at 653 East Pine Street and built a 9,500 square foot repair facility around European service. The lifts, the diagnostic equipment and the bays were specified for these cars from the start.
Maintenance to the factory schedule
A Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi or Porsche has service intervals set by the people who built it. We service to those schedules, so your car gets what the manufacturer specified and nothing it does not need.
Diagnostics before parts
Most faults on a modern European car surface first in its electronics. Engine management system diagnostics, brake inspection and suspension diagnostics are all handled here, so the problem is identified before anything is replaced.
Family owned since 1981
Paul's wife Lori and his son Ben run the shop today. A good number of the drivers who first brought their cars to Paul still bring them to us.
